Yanks Up!
I don't have time for an in-depth post this morning, so I'll just go with this -
USA! USA! USA!
Comments
Spoilers Ahead ...
Ugh!
Boy did that suck. The US looked poised for a while and held possession for most of the first half, but did absolutely nothing with it. At some point, you have to pass the ball forward to a place your forwards can get it!
I was particularly displeased with the play of DaMarcus Beasley, who is a shell of the 19-year-old wonder he appeared to be in 2002. The defense was shaky as well.
Still, I have to wonder if it would have gone differently had Reyna's blast off the post been a couple of inches to the right. Would have been 1-1 at that point and might have fired the Yanks up.
As it is now, they are in trouble. A win over Italy is pretty much a must now.
